This is Lily. The best baby ever. When Lily was born she was a little bit on the small size. But, what she lacks in size, she makes up for in beauty. She was born on 7-14-04 and she weighed a whopping 3 pounds. 11 ounces.

The pictures below are from 9-17-04. Lily is growing at a fast steady pace. She is doing just great. Shauna (my daughter and Lily's mom) is doing wonderful at being a new mom. It sure is a terrific feeling holding your Grandbaby in your arms. I think Lily likes me best already. I can just tell by the way she looks at me.

The above two picture were taken by me on 10-28-04. One of those rare moments when Lily was sleeping. ha-ha.. She's a PROUD baby. She is probably destined to be a world leader or maybe the Doctor who finds cures for all the major diseases of the world. We just love baby sitting her whenever we get a chance.

The above 3 pictures were taken around Thanksgiving, 2004. Lily is developing very well and is at that stage were she is very entertaining to watch. She is wearing her little red Christmas Dress. That's one of the great joys of having a Girl. You can dress them up so cute. We all think she is getting some teeth started because she is drooling more than usual. Just wait till they break through. That's when the fun starts.

These pics were taken at my house on January 11th, 2005. Lily was in a great mood. she is starting to give directions on where to place the bottle. If you happen to neglect your duty as a bottle holder, she will stare you down until you get it right. We don't want to get on her bad side. She is developing nicely and is starting to grab at things with more accuracy and follow things with her eyes much better. She has discovered the power of the HIGH PITCHED SQUEAL. All parents look forward to that. My daughter is still working very hard at being a good mom and getting better at it every day. Thanks for looking at my Grandbaby. She means the world to us and we love her very much.

Lily came over today and spent some time with us. She was in a pretty good mood most of the day. She is in her little walker and it keeps her busy for a few minutes at a time. She needs lots of mental stimulation or she starts yelling at us. I'm running out of strange baby noises, so I guess I need to work on some new ones. I can't wait till she can understand me when I tell her how much I love her.

Shauna came over today and brought Lily with her. She is getting so funny and cute. She wants to grab every thing she sees. She got hold of a little wooden Tomahawk that I had laying around. All I can say about the cat is, the vet can sew that patch of hair back on. Lily likes to grab a handful of hair on our poodle, (Peach) and hold on for dear life. Peach just sits there and takes it. She also likes to grab hold of my beard and yank as hard as she can. I just sit there like a poodle.

Here is Lily. By far the prettiest flower in the bunch.

Lily came over today and she is just crawling around all over the place. She is really trying to talk and is starting to make little noises of joy. She likes to sit in things like Box's and Bean pots. She is getting more nosey day by day and I guess it's time to put baby latches all over the house again. It's hard to believe she is 11 months old. Seems like only yesterday she was just born..

OK, Lily is one year and 2 weeks old now. She is doing so well and learning so fast it's just incredible. She loves to have books read to her and she can throw them across the room with the best of them. She is eating finger foods all by herself and that is soooo cute to watch. Most of it ends up on the floor but that's why we have dogs. She has so many funny little facial expressions but she never seems to make them when I have the camera ready. I can just hear those crisp new 20 dollar bills leaving my wallet when she comes over to visit when she's a teenager. We love her more every day.

Lily is doing just great. She is almost ready to walk on her own and is communicating very well. She loves to roll around and play with her Grandfather (me) and play gimmeyerface and peek-a-boo. She is such a joy to have around that no matter how difficult your day has gone, when she shows up, everything is wonderful again. I'm kinda jealous because she loves Lori (her Grandmother) a little more than she loves me. I need to try harder I guess.

It's been a good while since I posted any new pictures of Lily. We've been kinda busy. Seems like when Lily comes over and brings her parents, we always have some place to go. Well, God continues to smile on my Wife and I. Lily is doing so good and staying rather healthy. She is walking now and I must say I was getting worried that she wouldn't walk till she was 4 years old. I bought her one of those little shopping carts at Wal-Mart and the next thing you know, she was using it as a walker and putting all kinds of stuff in it. It didn't take long before she got her sea legs and POOF!, No walker. She took off on her own. (Mixed Blessing)..Today she had on a cute little Easter dress and some cute shoes and socks that my daughter bought for her. She still loves Lori, (My Wife) more than she loves me, but I'm a close second. Thanks for looking at my site and my Grand Baby. More picture soon I hope...

Lily came over on Halloween night and she wore a cute little Bee costume that my friend Butch bought her last year. She was way too small back then but it fit her very well this year. She would only put the hood on the costume over her head for a few seconds at a time before she took it off. She does not like hats and such. Lily also brought her little dog, Charlie. Charlie is a Pomeranian and is a little handful. It's pretty funny when Lily walks around calling Charlie to come let her pet him. They are a cute team...
She is starting to master the English language (in her own way). It's lots of fun talking to her. She seems to have a lot to talk about. She especially likes to talk about the dogs and our new kitty cat. Lily's favorite hobbies so far are; Putting whole rolls of TP in the toilet and putting them back on the shelve; playing with the animals; Throwing car keys in the trash can; Digging up dirt from our yard and piling it up on my shoes. She has many other hobbies as well but I think I hit the main ones. Maybe I can take her digging for artifacts some day. Thank You my friends for looking at my Lily page and your kind E-mails. TTY soon.

Lily and and I had our first Tea Party today. She actually used and old rice cooker and filled it with leaves from the back yard and mixed it up with a stick she found. I don't know if any of you have had "Oak Leaf Tea" before, but I don't recommend it very highly.. It was just pretend tea but we had a blast sharing tea and swinging on her Little Tykes swing. She decided we needed to come inside and build with her blocks. When dinner time came around, she decided she did not want to clean up her blocks so I just started putting them up for her (as usual)...She figured if she climbed into the block basket I would let her keep playing. Then she decided she wanted to be covered in blocks. Well, I couldn't get her out. She would have slept in there if I'd have let her.. She is a very talkative little thing. She is counting to ten, and has long conversations with anyone who will listen...Like me.. Lord, Thank you for bringing my Granddaughter, Lily into my life...

Hi yall:
Lily came over today and we watched her for a few hours. She is as healthy as ever and talking up a storm. She has a couple of "FILLER" words that she uses when she can't think of the right word to use. I think one of the filler words is "HmmmmMmmmmYummmmNummmYumYa-OK".. I believe that is the correct spelling but I'm not 100% sure. I have an old Oak Roll Top desk and she like it when I hang a pillow case in front of the chair space. It's kind of a makeshift fort and hiding space. She loves to get under there and surprise people (and dogs)... We are having plenty of tea parties and mixing up lots of oak leaf soup. She likes to go around serving everybody she sees and making sure they have plenty of make believe food to eat. One of these days soon, I think she will graduate to real iced tea parties with Ritz crackers. She seems to like getting her boo-boo's kissed more than other kids I have seen. I think she pretends to have an ouch just so she can get a little kiss. She also likes to kiss other peoples boo-boo's. This may be a problem when she starts kindergarten but we will see. I am still training her to dig artifacts and I hope she has more luck than I have had finding them over the last couple years...I will post again soon I hope. Thanks for looking.....
Home (but look at that beautiful baby some more first)
